"Blue Light" is an original oil painting and not a reproduction. It was hand painted and completed in February of 2022. The materials are all professional quality including the paints, and canvas which is a Blick Premier and ready to hang the way it is-unframed-, however, it would look great with a frame of your choice. This painting can be viewed as Science Fiction, Fantasy or Spiritual in theme. The Blue Light can represent many different things to different people. My story as an artist: I was born in Connecticut and began drawing from a young age in elementary school. I graduated from Southington High school after taking many art courses there which were offered as electives. Creating art gave me a happy and peaceful feeling and compliments from classmates were encouraging. I felt that because I enjoyed doing art and felt I was good at it I decided to pursue it professionally by enrolling at Paier College of Art in Hamden, Connecticut and graduated with a bachelors degree in 2003. My focus was on Oil Painting but I worked in various mediums such as water color, acrylics, pen and ink, graphite, computer art and mixed media as well. I completed two semesters towards a masters degree in fine art at RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology) by 2005 but decided not to continue on that path. There I took completed courses in art gallery management, psychology of teaching and learning, Philosophy of art and aesthetics, graduate painting and more. My artwork has been on exhibit in the following places: Chimney Crest Manor Bed and Breakfast in Bristol Connecticut. Glenthorne Quaker Guest House in Grasmere England UK, Paier College of art 2nd place winner in Fine Arts, Gallery R in Rochester New York, Jerome Home in New Britain Connecticut. I've completed a few Mural Paintings for businesses and private homes. Currently my work is for sale on eBay, however, I look forward to working with a gallery or store which would be interested in selling my work. It's my belief that by taking the time to improve myself and reach greater skill levels as an artist I can contribute more to life. I love to read, drink coffee, travel, collect music and cook vegetarian food. I'm single and currently living in Connecticut but look forward to visiting the mid west in the future.
